This stunning early large-flowered Clematis produces huge 6-8”, saturated violet purple flowers with a reddish purple bar. The newest flowers are more of a magenta pink color and they deepen to violet purple as they mature. A small tuft of purple anthers and white filaments appear in the center of each colorful blossom. This Polish selection is very long blooming, producing flowers from early summer through early fall. Use it to cover trellises, climb over shrubs or small trees, or to cover fences. This is followed by a second flush flowers appearing on the new growth.
